By cutting out sugar from your diet for 10 days, you allow your body to flush out toxins and unhealthy fat that have been building up over time.

Avoid alcohol

During your 10-day cleanse, focus on healthy eating habits such as organic fruits, leafy greens, and various vegetables, including Brussels sprouts, nuts, seeds, medicinal herbs, and healthy fats such as olive oil and avocados. Healthy vegetables have anti-inflammatory properties.

We even recommend you have lean protein and limit saturated fats to help your liver detox more efficiently.

You can include MCT oil from coconut (C8 is best) and olive oil. You may also have some ghee.

These will nourish your body while helping to remove toxins from the digestive system. Probiotic foods such as fermented vegetables, kombucha, or sauerkraut will support the beneficial bacteria in your gut.

Sweet potatoes are a helpful food to eat if you don’t have blood sugar issues. However, some people may find fermented foods challenging to digest, so try these foods slowly.

Green Cleansing Drink

Including green and healthy smoothies in your program is beneficial. Rather than a Juicer, we recommend using a Vitamix or Bullet to retain the fiber of the fruits and vegetables. Fiber is essential for your digestion. Include lots of leafy greens in your daily diet.

Meat and Fish

You can include lean proteins such as fatty wild-caught salmon, cod, chicken breast, and lean beef. Avoid deep sea fish such as tuna and swordfish.

Staying hydrated during your cleanse

Staying hydrated is a vital aspect of the 10-day cleanse. Water plays a crucial role in detoxification, helping to flush out toxins from your body. Aim to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water each day.

Water makes up 73% of the human heart. Researchers at Vanderbilt University Medical Center have shown that ordinary water — without any additives — does more than quench thirst. Drinking more water increases blood volume and the sympathetic system’s activity – makes you more alert, and raises daytime blood pressure and energy expenditure. [3]

Green tea is excellent to drink regularly during the 10-day cleanse diet. We don’t recommend drinking coffee, but 1 coffee daily will unlikely cause any issues. They hydrate but also provide a range of health benefits depending on the herbs used.

Drink them hot or cold as per your preference. Coconut water is another excellent hydrating drink due to its high electrolyte content. Just remember to opt for natural, unsweetened versions to avoid unnecessary sugars.
