Scheduling & Visits

Before your scheduled initial consultation, Clare Kelway will review your medical history and prior lab testing you submitted. During your actual intake consultation, Clare will discuss your history with you and explain the connections between defining events in your life and your health. If you are a good fit for our services, Clare will recommend functional lab tests and the best consultation package for you.

The initial consultation is US$360.

Clients have unlimited email access with our Metabolix Health provider team. However, if an email question or request is deemed by one of our staff to be too complicated or involved for a response via email they may, at their discretion, require that the client schedule a phone or video consultation instead of responding via email.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all appointments with a Metabolix Health practitioner, health coach, or team member. Canceling within 24-hours will result in a 50% fee charge to the credit card on file.

 

No-shows: If you do not show up to a phone, video/telemedicine appointment without notifying the specific person you have an appointment with either via email or by changing the appointment using the online scheduling tool on the client portal, you will be charged for the appointment and no refund will be provided.

Billing & Insurance

We require you to have a primary care physician. We are not medical providers. We do not treat, mitigate, or provide treatment for any diseases. We are a functional health practice only.

We are a 100% cash-pay practice and do not work with any insurance. We do not accept insurance or Medicare for our consulting services.

 

You are required to pay in full at the time of scheduling your appointment and orders for labs and products are payable at the time of order. We will provide you with a detailed billing summary that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement. There are no guarantees that your insurance or plan will reimburse you for any of these expenses.

  • The lab tests we offer as part of our functional medicine testing program are not covered by insurance and you will be charged a fee for a particular test by the lab or through Metabolix Health.
  • The specific tests ordered will be personalized to you based on your initial evaluation with a Metabolix Health practitioner and may include blood saliva urine or stool testing.
  • We will make you fully aware of any additional lab fees that may be incurred and give you the opportunity to choose which lab tests you feel comfortable paying for.
  • You are under no obligation to purchase any specialty testing.
  • Should any lab results indicate you may need further testing you will be directed to continue your care with your primary care physician or a relevant specialist, or should you choose you may continue to work with your Metabolix Health practitioner.
  • At-home test kits: If a lab test kit is mailed to you by Metabolix Health, you will be charged the day the kit is mailed.
